South Africa survived a dramatic penalty shootout against Zimbabwe, winning 4–3 after a 1–1 draw, to reach their fourth consecutive final. The defending champions are aiming for a remarkable quadruple.

Zambia were equally impressive, grinding out a 2–0 semi-final victory over Malawi. Their sharp attack and physical presence will test the home side.

BOYS FINAL — SOUTH AFRICA vs ZAMBIA

South Africa marched into the final after beating Eswatini 2–0, continuing their dominance in this competition with a fourth straight final appearance.

But Zambia look dangerous — their 3–0 semi-final win over Malawi came after topping Group B with a commanding 6–0 victory over Comoros. This final has all the ingredients of a heavyweight youth showdown.

Prize Money & Legacy

This year’s COSAFA Qualifier winners will receive USD 100,000, runners-up USD 75,000, and third-placed teams USD 50,000 — funds dedicated to school infrastructure development. The competition is powered by the Motsepe Foundation’s USD 10-million investment, championed by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe.
