Kaizer Chiefs have approved loan moves for two of their highly rated youngsters, Manqoba ‘Pelembe’ Ozoemena and Ofentse ‘Flash’ Kgosana, who will spend the rest of the season with Motsepe Foundation Championship promotion hopefuls Casric Stars.
The pair, standout performers in Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge side, join a Casric team currently second on the table with 25 points from 14 matches, just two adrift of leaders Milford United.
Ozoemena, 21, impressed during Chiefs’ pre-season camp in Turkey and is valued for his versatility across midfield, wide areas and wing-back roles. After dominating at DDC level, Chiefs believe he is now ready for the physical and tactical demands of senior football.
Joining him is 19-year-old Kgosana, a rapid wing-back nicknamed ‘Flash’, who has shone for both the Amakhosi youth sides and South Africa’s COSAFA U20-winning squad. The loan is seen as a key step in sharpening his attacking output and physical edge.
Meanwhile, Chiefs defender Bobo Sima has joined Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the Botswana Premiership on a season-long loan, linking up with fellow loanee Tefo Mofokeng.
