Al Masry currently lead the standings on seven points from three matches, with Zamalek second on five as the two Egyptian giants prepare to meet. Chiefs sit third on four points, while ZESCO remain rooted to the bottom without a point. Confidence is being fuelled by Chiefs’ growing defensive solidity. Wednesday’s narrow 1–0 Betway Premiership win over Marumo Gallants marked a fifth consecutive clean sheet, underlining the team’s improved resilience. There is further encouragement in the depth now available to the coaching staff. Lilepo was one of several changes to the starting line-up midweek, yet still delivered a match-winning display.
