Chiefs look to seize control of CAF group as ZESCO visit Durban
Kaizer Chiefs have a big opportunity to take charge of their CAF Confederation Cup group when they host ZESCO United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Amakhosi edged the Zambian side 1-0 in Ndola last weekend to secure their first win of the campaign, moving onto four points and back into contention for a knockout-stage place.
Now back on home soil, Chiefs know another victory could strengthen their grip on second spot — or even push them closer to the group summit — with just three matchdays remaining.
ZESCO, meanwhile, sit bottom of the table without a point after three straight defeats and are fighting to keep their qualification hopes alive.
With momentum on their side and Durban behind them, this is a chance for Chiefs to take their Confederation Cup fate firmly into their own hands.
