Ghana’s Black Galaxies have arrived in South Africa in preparation for their upcoming international friendly against Bafana Bafana, as both sides continue building towards major competitive assignments.
The Ghanaian squad landed on Sunday morning, December 14, travelling via Ethiopian Airlines. They will now settle in ahead of Tuesday’s clash scheduled for December 16, 2025, at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. Kick-off is set for 14:00 Ghana time.
The friendly forms a key part of the Black Galaxies’ preparations for the next phase of the CHAN qualifiers. Head coach Kassim Mingle Ocansey is expected to use the match to evaluate his squad, sharpen tactical systems and assess how his players cope against strong opposition away from home.
The team has been engaged in intensive training in recent weeks, with the technical staff keen to see that work translated onto the pitch. Training sessions are expected to take place in Soweto in the build-up to the match as the Black Galaxies look to make a strong impression and gather momentum.
South Africa, meanwhile, will also use the encounter as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco later this month.
