Chiefs Beat Sundowns & Pirates to Thabo Moloisane Pre-Contract
Stellenbosch FC and Bafana Bafana defender Thabo Moloisane is reportedly edging closer to a high-profile move to Kaizer Chiefs, after agreeing to a pre-contract with the Soweto giants.
The 26-year-old centre-back has quietly built a strong reputation in the Betway Premiership and was part of the Bafana Bafana squad that secured qualification for the FIFA World Cup, even though he did not make the final cut for the recent AFCON tournament.
After three consistent seasons with Stellenbosch FC, Moloisane appears ready for the next step in his career. His composure, positional awareness and reliability have seen him widely regarded as one of the league’s standout de

fenders in recent campaigns.
Interest in the former Maritzburg United player is not new. Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates were previously linked with the defender, but Chiefs now appear to have won the race for his signature.
At Naturena, defensive reinforcements have become a priority. While Amakhosi brought in Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs in 2024, his impact was cut short by injury, limiting him to just half a season. Since then, Chiefs have largely relied on Miguel Inacio and Aden McCarthy, a partnership that has struggled for consistency.
According to Soccer Beat, the deal is already in place. The report claims Moloisane has signed a pre-contract and is expected to officially join Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season, potentially adding proven Bafana Bafana quality to their backline.
