Marumo Gallants have completed the signing of Azola Ntsabo on a free transfer following his departure from Chippa United, strengthening their defensive options ahead of the second half of the season.
iDiski Times can confirm that Bahlabane Ba Ntwa moved swiftly to secure the 26-year-old, who has been identified as the ideal replacement for Mpho Chabatsane, after his recent switch to Orlando Pirates.
Ntsabo brings valuable experience to the left-back position, having featured in close to 60 senior matches in his career. During that time, he has contributed one goal and four assists, while also building a reputation for his energy, delivery from wide areas, and set-piece ability.
He faces the challenge of filling big shoes at Gallants, with Chabatsane having played every match for the club this season and delivering consistently high-level performances, including an impressive showing in the Carling Knockout Cup final.
Ntsabo arrives with confidence, having ended his spell at Chippa United on a high note. In March, he claimed the Goal of the Month award for a stunning free-kick against Polokwane City FC, underlining the attacking threat he offers from defence.
Gallants will now be hoping that Ntsabo can quickly settle and replicate the impact of his predecessor as they look to stabilise and push forward in the Betway Premiership.
